Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Clackamas, Portland, and surrounding areas, Oregon

Certified Nursing Assistants provide respectful in-home assistance based on each client's care plan and AssureCare's policies. CNAs help clients with approved daily activities while promoting comfort, safety, dignity, and independence.

Potential responsibilities

  • Assist with approved activities of daily living
  • Support bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility and transfers within authorized duties
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks
  • Support medication administration and reminders within authorized duties
  • Perform light housekeeping related to client care
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Complete service documentation accurately
  • Report changes or concerns through the proper process
  • Follow privacy, infection-control, and safety procedures

Basic qualifications

  • Current Oregon CNA certification
  • Compassionate and respectful approach to care
  • Dependable attendance
  • Professional communication
  • Ability to follow written care plans
  • Ability to complete required screening
  • Valid driver's license and insured transportation if driving is required

Caregivers provide compassionate, personal support that helps clients remain comfortable, connected, and as independent as possible in their own homes.

Potential responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation
  • Assist with meal preparation
  • Perform light housekeeping
  • Provide reminders for established routines
  • Assist with errands and approved community activities
  • Support clients with approved daily activities
  • Observe and report concerns through the proper process
  • Follow the client's care plan and AssureCare policies

Basic qualifications

  • Compassionate and dependable
  • Respectful communication
  • Ability to follow instructions and care plans
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to complete required screening
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license and insured transportation if driving is required
